Thick Skin
Tell me,
What is the best way to develop a thick skin in order to survive on Wall Street? I know I will need it to survive all the abuse, so trying to figure out the best ways. Hit me with all the meanness you got if you think that is the best way.
Practice swallowing hot dogs without chewing. Goes a long way if you know what I mean...

Play on a competitive sports team, have older brothers, join a fraternity, have very close friends that give you a lot of shit, all the same idea here and will develop thick skin for life, not just for working in finance.

He lifts weights like, 2-3 times per week, so now he's naively under the impression that he's alpha status. Whatever helps him sleep at night I guess.
Having a thick skin is directly correlated with having confidence. If you are a confident person, you'll be fine. If you aren't, then I suggest you work on building confidence.

You can start by not asking people on the internet to hurl "insults" at you via a keyboard
It comes down to not taking things personally and not having an ego. For ex. if someone yells at you for making a mistake and its a stupid mistake, learn from it, dont do it again, and move on. On the flip side, if you feel you're right about something, and someone gives you shit...have confidence, nod your head and move on.
