Thoughts on LinkedIn Networking

target ivy. I've been using linkedin to connect and ask for coffee chats with people, sometimes non-alum from my school as well. I intorduce myself with the connection request and if they accept shoot them another message.

I heard this is not professional or not-preferred, but i'ts been working pretty decently for me.

Thoughts on doing this instead of cold emails or using it in combination with cold-emails?

If you start with linkedin networking you'll need to be an active user which means publicating frequently, interacting with other users frequently.

Just sending a message to random people and asking for a coffee will make you cringe IMHO

PS: If you throw monkey shit at people giving you good advices then why asking
