Tips for networking coffee chats?

Hey Guys, I am flying to Chicago next week and have 5 coffee chats set up with various connections, most of them being alumni. I am a non-target. Two of them are analysts and three of them are MDs at EBs and BBs. Being a non-target, alumni are very excited by and willing to help students who seriously pursue IB. Do you guys have tips on how to prepare and what to say? What are some good questions? I am going to research each of their groups thoroughly and their transactions. How should I tailor my conversations with analysts vs MDs? Is it too much to give them my resume at the end/ask them to connect me with someone else assuming the conversation goes well?

Good stuff...

Be genuinely interested in their life and career. I typically begin by asking why they wanted to get into IB, how they got to the firm they are with today, and what they do on a day-to-day basis. The more you get them to talk about themselves, the better.

Bring a notepad and take notes. Also buy their coffee and follow-up with a thank you.

Nothing may come from the meeting at the time but these meeting ALWAYS help down the road.

Best of luck...
