Transfer Pricing Internship to IBD/S&T? (Sophomore)

I am a sophomore at a non-Ivy target and recently was accepted to a Transfer Pricing internship at PwC for this summer. I am wondering if BB recruiters for IBD and S&T will view this, as I don't really want to go into consulting but would rather go through the standard recruiting process my Junior fall for an internship next summer.

Is having this internship an asset or have I now committed myself down a path to consulting? I assume there are transferable skills as transfer pricing requires lots of financial analysis (although admittedly I'm not sure what exactly I'll be doing during the internship), but its unclear how helpful this will be compared to having interned at a boutique investment banking firm or doing a sophomore summer internship at a BB firm in any division. Thanks I'd really appreciate any insight.

You're only a sophomore, nobody will expect you to have committed to a specific career path yet. PwC is a name that people have heard of, you'll be fine for junior year recruiting. Nearly all of the summer analysts I knew working at bulge brackets/elite boutiques did totally random business/finance internships for their sophomore summer, most of which weren't very impressive at all. The bar really isn't that high.
