Transfer students - need transcripts from all universities they attended?
I've transferred from Harvard but didn't put it on my resume to avoid unnecessary, inquisitive questions that I might be asked, assuming that leaving out old school is not a big deal. Anyway, despite my efforts to hide my background, I just discovered that my transcript has "remarks" at the bottom, and it says 64 credits transferred from Harvard. Although I only uploaded/submitted my current transcript, do you think banks will ask me to send in additional transcript from Harvard so as to check my old GPA and what courses I have taken prior to transferring to Columbia? I'm really afraid because my old transcript may reveal my disciplinary probation history along with other trivia that might be detrimental to me.
They might ask for them. Was your GPA lower or higher? Your transcripts might not show disciplinary action, have you checked this? Once banks see the Harvard transfer they will start asking you why, make sure you have a solid story to give. Good luck!
Thanks for your comment. To be more accurate, my final GPA was lower (3.1, thanks to stingy professors,) and I got accepted to CU before the last semester grades and those disciplinary action/remarks showed up on my transcript, so I don't know if it discloses my disciplinary action but it certainly does show my cumulative GPA, which I do not want banks (mostly BB) to know..
I would just roll with it and maybe they wont ask. If they do just explain it away. 3.1 from Harvard still isn't dog shit man and if your GPA at Columbia is much higher it shouldn't make a huge deal. As long as you can explain it you should be fine.
I transferred and have never been asked for my original transcripts
That's great news!
what was your disciplinary action..?? did you get expelled from Harvard and was forced to transfer to Columbia?
I'll leave that to your imagination. Actually, I voluntarily transferred out before that happened. I'm happy to be back home :)
If you voluntarily transferred to avoid expulsion, why would it show up on your transcript? Isn't that the whole point of withdrawing prior to a disciplinary committee?
