Transferred from CC to USC, am I out of time?
Hello, I transferred from my local CC to USC Marshall but didn't know about the recruitment cycle. With now being a Junior, how difficult would it be to pursue a career in high finance? I'm interested in IB, financial advisory, and corporate banking the most, but I'm really worried about the recruiting cycle.
Non existent for IB
I transferred to a UC from CC and was able to break into IB and have met others who have as well. But it’s going to mean you are going to have to extend your graduation by at least 1 summer. Also depends on how much internship experience you have rn as well. Could mean u might have to think of yourself technically as a frosh or sophomore depending on how far along you are with your resume to give yourself a fighting shot.
If youre going into your junior year next semester, just extend graduation by a semester and recruit next spring.
If you are a junior now, and going into your senior year next semester, your chances are pretty non existent other than pursuing adjacent careers then lateraling or MBA to ASO role.
