Transition out of sales role?

I’m a series 7/66 licensed advisor at F500 company in an inside sales role. I’ve been at it for 7 years now. It’s a cushy job... leads come via inbound calls, not a terribly hard sale, not hard to hit low 6 figure pay per year. The problem is it’s a service to sales role and the sales grind has gotten to me. I’m disenfranchised with the grind and an looking for something new. The problem is, all I seem to see is transitioning to an entry level analyst role which means a HUGE paycut.

Has anyone dealt with this before and have any advice for transition out of sales role?

The best two options for you imo are:

  1. If you’re at a F500, there are always analyst positions available on your internal job site. Leverage your contacts in the company to get a business analyst-type job interview & get good at Excel in the meantime

  2. MBA. Do well on the GMAT and apply to an mba program
