UBS WM vs Alphasights Client Services

Hi!

I am conflicted between a UBS Wealth Management Summer Analyst position and Alphasights Client Service. Which one would lead to more exit opportunities in the future? and which is seen as more prestigious?

I'm not sure what I want to do yet, but I do have a passion for wealth management from working in a smaller firm last summer, but Alphasights seem like an exciting and dynamic work place with lots of young people!

Definitely UBS WM SA. It depends on what you would want to do later but the client services position would absolutely not help with anything finance related. UBS is decently prestigious and you would be an actual analyst, so you could theoreitically move later on to a full time WM analyst or lateral towards Private Baking, IB, or even PE. I know a few people that chose to go to AlphaSights - they recruit so much every year that any junior position there has lost any prestige. Even the entry Junior Associate Consultant positions that they promote are just glorified sales position - you do not do any consulting work and just cold call potential clients all day to sell a service. Assuming the Alphasights client service is also a summer internship, I guess you would be basically assured of a ft position after you graduate whereas UBS you will probably need to demonstrate some skill but it's a good entry door to the finance world. Good luck
