UNC v. Texas A&M
I am a current rising Sophomore at UNC, strong ECs, strong grades, and have built a reasonably strong network in IB. However, a lot of personal reasons have me exploring a potential transfer to Texas A&M. While UNC is not a traditional target, they certainly do better with IB recruiting, and have had strong classes as of late. How much would a transfer to A&M hurt my chances of breaking into IB, and what are the odds of me still breaking in at A&M?

depends what you want. To NYC, UNC has an edge against TAMU. Both are big players in their non-nyc IB hubs (Charlotte for UNC and Houston for TAMU).
UNC/UVA probably the biggest hubs to Charlotte and UT/SMU probably biggest hubs to Houston. If you have no problem working in Houston, TAMU is a great option, but NYC becomes difficult (not impossible).
TLDR: If you want NYC go UNC, if your okay with Houston, TAMU will get you there. Just go wherever you get cheaper tuition. But you can go anywhere from anywhere, at the end of the day, it's the student not the school.
