University Trip

My University is taking a trip to Wall Street this week to network with some of the top financial firms in investment banking. We will have the chance to ask questions during/after their presentations. What are some questions that I can ask that will make me stand out?

Research the specific people/firms/groups you're networking with. Understand the business they're in and the biggest changes happening in the space. Talking to an ECM guy? Ask about Spotify DPO. Talking to asset management guy? Ask about multi-asset solutions. Learn learn learn and conversations become natural. If it can be easily googled, don't ask it. Questions should require nuanced answers and demonstrate your knowledge without "flexing" your knowledge if you catch my drift.
