Upenn Engineering and Hedge Funds/Asset Management Recruiting

Hello WSO monkeys,

The below questions are meant to be in the scope of hedge funds AND asset manager recruitment (either or).

  1. What is the hedge fund recruiting like for UPenn engineering grads (if any)?
  2. What sort of firms do recruit from there? Or any other experiences from UPenn engineering grads on this.
  3. What is the perception of UPenn's MCIT program (Masters in Computer and Information Technology) in regards to firms/recruiters?

Any insight into the program and the typical non-Wharton grad would be great.

Thank you.

Ok good to know. I guess what's puzzling to me is that you can see on DE Shaw's website a list if school's they campus recruit from.

I was wondering if people either working at hedge fund/asset manager or people studying/studied at UPenn, either recruit at UPenn Engineering or have been recruited from there...

But, your thought would be that there is less recruiting for master's programs.. that could make sense.
