[URGENT] How do you connect with someone who's role you aren't interested in?
Background. Met a couple people at an info session in a buy side company I'm interested in. But not the role. How do you approach this? Do you fake an interest or be truthful and hope they're still willing to help?
don't ever lie, they will see right through that. Just find a way to politely tell them what you are really interested in, and see if they can lead you to the right people
