Currently work in Valuation at a Big 4 but want to get into a more finance focused role. Given current hiring market, IB doesn’t seem viable and PE jobs usually want that deal experience. Am I shit out of luck until lateral hiring market opens up? Would PE firms consider hiring without the direct deal experience even if you are qualified? Would a CFA help with the transition? Help me out.
