Value of undergrad degree major?
I'm an undergrad student doing a 3+1 program for an MS in finance and at this point, a bachelor's degree of my choice. I know I want to go into IB/consulting one day, but given that I'm going to have a masters in finance by my fourth year, don't know how much employers will care about my undergrad major.
I've narrowed it down to two: BS in business with an international business concentration or a BS finance and econ double major. I'm worried that having two finance degrees might look a little repetitive, and with the business degree, I could have a more diverse, well-rounded education paired with the MSF. Then again, having just a business degree seems risky since it's such a broad field.
Any ideas on whether you think employers would care?
