Want to get into IB; Commerical Banking or Equity Research
I'm currently a Junior at a non-target school in the US. I applied for a bunch of investment banking internships for this upcoming summer, because that is the career I want to pursue. Had a couple super days during these last few months but unfortunately did not receive an offer. Recently, I received an ER internship offer from a MM Investment Bank in the South. I have also received a Commercial banking internship at a MM Bank in the North. Relocation/ pay is not an issue for me/ something I don't really care about as of right now (just want the best experience). What internship do you think would best prepare me for a future in IB (knowledge/experience wise, connection wise, etc.)?
Doable from both but I'd imagine it's easier from ER since that's seen as equally as front office
