Website/Online career sites questions

1. Does it look bad if I apply to different positions (all relatively within the hemisphere of banking, corporate finance, etc.) on a firms career website? I would NOT be applying to completely different positions such as trading, consulting, ibd, etc. They are all very similar and in different cities.

2. Do people ever actually get called in for interviews when applying online? I feel like you're info is just thrown into a database and never seen again.
