WFH and Lateral Analyst Recruiting

Hi all,

Long time lurker here.

With all of the recent discussion regarding WFH and morale, I too feel awful and disconnected from my team. For some background, I graduated from a target (undergrad) and started full time at a firm I did not intern at. I only met a couple of senior people at the interview last year.

I've been on the team for several months now and have been thinking about lateraling this year. I have a few questions:

Does anyone have any advice regarding this process and how to network (who to target, etc.)?

With some of this premature turnover and better forecast for the second half of this year, how are firms thinking about lateral analyst hires?

Is there a minimum amount of time (ex. 1 year) that you are expected to have been in the same position?

Hope we can all look forward to better days once WFH is over.

Thanks
