I am in talks with a small fund. Currently, there are two partners and an admin assistant. They need help building out their models, analyzing opportunities and portfolio management. I am in a non NYC/SF city and currently work in corp dev. I have 3 years of experience, thoughts? Should I ask for carried interest? Or just a base and performance bonus?
Although the fund is small, this role is EXACTLY what I have been wanting to do, and in the long term, this experience will be very valuable to me as I want to move into the consumer niche that they focus on.
