When should I give notice in my situation?
Received one offer from my 2nd choice firm one week ago. I have one more week to accept/decline. I’m interviewing with my 1st choice firm one week from now, and from what I’ve heard from a VP in the firm, as long as I don’t screw up the interview I’ll most likely get the offer.
I have one offer and I’m 100% sure the background check will come back clean. Will I have any problems if I give my notice now, and end up getting the 2nd offer after I’ve already quit my current firm?
Why not give notice as late as possible?
I’m moving across the country so I’d have less time to make the move assuming that the first choice offer doesn’t pan out and I have to take the offer from my 2nd choice and start earlier.
Are you moving in either case? It sounds like its all going to happen at once anyway....why can't you start making plans to move until you actually pull the trigger and give notice?
