Rising sophomore looking to recruit for IB/S&T and I'm confused. If so much time is spent learning techs and networking for Jr summer, around when were sophomore summer apps and interviews? What did y'all do sophomore summer? And, did you have your sophomore internship secured before IB recruiting? Asking anyone that broke in. Thanks!

It’s not a when, it’s more of a where question. Unless you’re diversity, no chance at BB sophomore SA. Better look at smaller shops around the area and shoot out networking emails. I found senior folks there are more open with taking calls from students, so start there is a good option. And be quick bc if you don’t, others will.
Sophomore IB/MFPE programs are mostly div/nepo/cracked superhigh target student
For normal ppl look around handshake/regional postings/family connections. Have seen ppl on this app who broke into BB/EB not have sophomore summer secured yet due to how accelerated the process is
