Where to from here? Non-target Senior.
I'm a finance and economics majors with a 3.33 GPA and I do have an internship this summer at a Federal Reserve Bank, but it's not finance or economics related, more MIS/Management I suppose (I have some programming knowledge). I go to an absolute non-target as well. I suffered from not having any clue as to what I wanted to do and immaturity so I've had a low GPA and just now started turning it up/growing up and getting heavy into extra-curriculars/really working hard in school.
I'm thinking about taking the CFA Level 1 in December, will that be worth the expected marginal benefits? What are my chances of landing an investment banking/Asset Management job out of graduation? I have two more semesters left so I can bring my GPA up a little, and I'm going to try to get into my school's investment fund management class in the spring as well as do some undergraduate economic research.
So what I really want to know is, should I just get the best analyst job I can and work for a bit and rock the GMAT and try to get into a top MBA program? Should I take the CFA Level 1?
