Working towards getting into Investment Banking position

I've started working 3 months ago for Deutsche Bank as a KYC Analist. The position is a traineeship for 1.5 years. Having a bachelors degree I figured it would be a good step to get into an investment bank without having a Masters degree. I've made it clear I have ambitions to grow towards Investment Banking and my manager has given me contacts of people that are active in Leveraged finance and is working on getting some more international contacts set out for me.

I know DB is going through a reorganisation of their corporate bank so it might not be the best bank for it but I've got a foot in the door now.

I was wondering during my traineeship what potential things I could do to help me get towards a SA position or whatever possibility there is within IB. I've looked into getting my CFA Level 1, but I heard it won't "add much" in regards of landing an SA/Internship/Job. A Masters degree is not an option for now cause I have a fulltime position and a Master in Finance or somesort are not available part-time.

So yeah basically I have until Jan 2021 until my traineeship with DB is finished. Want to maximize the opportunities DB can offer me. I'm already working on networking, doing an online course about valuation/modelling/Excel etc.

If anyone could offer some tips I'd highly appreciate it.
