Would going to a CRA be a good career move?
Considering going the CRA route. I currently work in commercial banking (analyst) at one of the big banks. Did a few searches to get the general consensus on CRA's... and boy have they been ALL over the place. Ive seen threads on here where it seems like CRA is the bottom of the barrel, and some threads that make it seem like CRAs are a fantastic career choice.
I am mainly concerned with exit opportunities. Eventually id like to move into Asset Management or Equity Research. Would moving to one of the big 3 CRAs (Moody, S&P, Fitch) help me out more than staying in commercial banking?
I am pretty uninformed when it comes to career paths, exit ops, etc. So let me know if I am completely wrong here.
