WP Carey MBA vs Thunderbird MGM

What's poppin guys?

I'm currently working in M&A filed especially energy and tech sector in Asia.

I don't have any plan to change my career or function. I was looking for a master degree just for having couple of refresh years.Meanwhile, one of my client's (reputable PE) boss introduced Thunderbird MGM (master of global management), which was former MBA when he was doing it in early 2000s.I didn't know Tbird MBA has changed to Tbird MGM after getting acquired by ASU.

So, ASU is running two different program now, its own Carey MBA and Tbird MGM.I originally wanted to enter Tbird but now I'm considering both Tbird MGM and WP Carey MBA.The reason I initially picked Tbird is ROI. It costs relatively cheaper than any other B schools and it seems it has some traditional reputation. In addition, duration is only 16 month.I've never heard WP Carey MBA in my 10 years of financial experience while I heard Thunderbird sometimes.

From my perspective, Tbrid seems better in terms ROI than WP Carey. I know Carey is cheaper than T15 B-schools (both tuition and living cost) but Tbird is even a lot cheaper than Carey. If I have a chance to get a job in US after getting master, I don't think I will get better job than one that I'm having now.

Therefore, I am quite sure that I will return to my home country (Asia) after getting done. Thus, is Thunderbird good choice? (No longer in US MBA ranking since it has turned to MS degree) Or would Carey be better option?

I personally think putting lots of money to get top MBA degree these days is not really excellent option to lift one's career. I know some (all white US citizens) of my undergrad colleagues who graduated Wharton, Darden, Columbia, Anderson and most of them (3 out of 4) are struggling to afford their neat house and dope cars.

Give me your opinion. Any advice is welcome.
