I am so close to my art pieces I don't want to sell a painting for $1K ... I want $50K. I recently moved into a new place and have a room for art and possible showings and I am excited to show my art, but I imagine 99% of the people aren't going to spend $50K on a piece. It's just that I am so close to my art. I remember what life was like during that phase where I painted the art. Selling it is like selling a piece of my essence. Also, if I set the market at $50K per piece, that is the standard for say a 5x7 foot abstract piece.
