Controversial

MAGA won't give over $1 billion to illegals and $100s of billions to other countries during an economic crises to fund pointless wars. Easier than choosing whether or not to wipe myself after taking a dump.

Regarding military aids, the $1B is nominal value, not real value. It is based on the value of equipment and vehicles that we would have to periodically replace anyways in order to get the latest military equipment. And let not forget that a lot of the heavy military equipment such as tanks and vehicles have very high nominal values but are not particularly useful in traditional combat (these vehicles were designed for middle east warfare.) Instead of giving Ukraine lean mean fighting drone machines, we are giving them our no longer relevant weapons. Think of stuff that are on sale for site such as https://www.govplanet.com/Humvees. Those Humvees carry six-fig nominal values but resale it to anyone else and it can barely gets double-digits valuation.

Regarding aids to illegals, how exactly do you think we can give out aids to undocumented people? They don't have bank account, social security, or any identification (that why they are called illegal/undocumented.) I actually would become an illegal if Democrat would set up a booth and hands out free money.

Blah blah blah don't care I don't support pointless wars that results in 100s of 1000s of deaths and do nothing but antagonize nuclear powers by backing them into a corner without an exit ramp to the escalation, no matter the monetary rationale mental ballet you want to spin. US blew up peace talks between Ukraine-Russia just months into the conflict and offered Zel a blank check to keep fighting which has wiped out an entire generation of young Ukrainian men and resulted in the suspension of the very Democracy we claim to be fighting for.

Are you just ignorant or intentionally lying? They're quite literally handed pre-loaded debit cards with $1000s of dollars in multiple states. They've been given food vouchers and discretionary disbursements for purchasing essentials in cities like NYC, Boston, Chicago, etc.. They're given housing vouchers that allow them to acquire rental housing and have the government subsidize it at a pre-determined cost with any landlord, regardless of going market rates in a given area. They ARE being given identification that's generated through the CBP One app, in some cities they're literally allowed to get state ID via a driver's license (see the multiple states in the past month that have had reports of 10s or 100s of 1000s of non-citizen mistakenly added to their voter rolls), or as a processing document after they go through the border, that's how tens of thousands have been allowed to board commercial flights all over the country despite not having any legal identification or going through regular TSA screening. And despite all that, it shouldn't matter HOW they're getting the money. That's not money that should be wasted on border jumping criminals whose only welcome to this country should be a bus ticket back to wherever they came here from.

Both of them suck. Again the USA has been reduced to Evil vs. Less Evil.

If you look at nations which have done immensely better with true visionaries like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore or Mohammed Bin Salman of Saudi or Maktoum family of UAE the USA has no equal.

it’s just demagogues and interest groups puppeteering for their own interests.

The USAs last true leader was JFK or Bush Senior (during first admin only) and Roosevelt during WW2. Since then it’s been one long reality TV show.

Trump is a known criminal enterprise head and racketeering don.

Kamala is a known sleazeball as well.

In any case both we’ll sell out all of their supporters for the next $10 million in PAC funding.

Americans probably have little idea of how much they’re being short changed if they see what true leaders have done in other nations .

trump.  biggest reason is immigration.  nyc has become such a chithole with all the illegals zooming around on their scooters/ebikes. phuck the illegals man (srs)

deport anyone in this country without proper papers.  no catch and release.  no sanctuary cities.  cut down the h1b programs and keep our universities catered to locals  (not rich asians/indians who likely cheated on the SAT).

Really tough decision, I love Kamala and her cackle laugh and her time as the Border Czar, but maybe this once imma have to go with Trump.

Trump but I do think Kamala will win. Currently job searching and I do think the market will react poorly if Trump wins again. Short-term, the job market may crater out of over-blown fear. Know quite a few '16 undergrad + grad folk who had trouble landing solid job offers if they were still job searching after the summer of 2016 because of the uncertainty around who would win.

I've grown to also realize local politics have much more influence over my life vs. national (at least in my opinion). And the county I live in tends to vote more GOP people in. Live in NY so my GOP vote for the presidential election won't mean anything.

Could be Trump's policies on tariffs and his perceived volatile personality possibly worsening international relations / supply chains. I don't agree but unfortunately it was a shared sentiment by many moderate / liberal economists in his first election. I hate saying this as a GOP / Trump supporter but if he gets elected in, the market may be very unpredictable for the first few quarters in 2025.

Also I misspoke earlier, I think many companies chose to slow down hiring in 2016 for new grads as they weren't sure who would win and at the time, Clinton and Trump seemed very polarizing (today's politics / policies are much more polarized but the Obama years - 2008 to 2016, many people found themselves moderate / bipartisian on many economic issues I felt).

Yeah that's my fear with Trump winning -- if market thinks he's gonna raise a bunch of tariffs and we see a return to inflation, it could have a big impact on hiring. As someone who's looking to leave my firm in the next 12 months, that's a bummer

That said, Trump is better than Kamala IMO but I have a feeling the latter will win. Regardless, while my vote counts at the congressional level (locally) it doesn't count for jack in the national given where I live so it's out of my hands

Kamala, holding my nose and picking Harris

Republicans deserve to lose for selecting Trump again. You can make policy decisions for why you prefer him, but I personally refuse to vote for someone who cant even admit that he lost an election and tries to undermine the entire electoral process. That doesn't even include all his own personality baggage or abortion which leaving it to the states has been looney tunes

And this is coming from someone who is also tired of leftist BS and can smell their spin from a mile away. January 6th truly was a nothingburger and absolute hypocrisy that the party of BLM clutches their pearls over a 'coup' attempt. Russian election interference was also a complete lie and dems own way of trying to circumvent democracy

But end of the day Trump is a wind bag and if you listen to him talk for more than 5 minutes you can see that
