Apartment Workout Equipment

I'm starting training soon as an An1 and I'm looking for some minimalist workout equipment for my tiny apartment for when I'm wfh. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Right now, I'm thinking about getting some high-quality resistance bands, but I'm open to getting more/alternative equipment (kettlebell, pull-up, etc.)

Probably a pullup bar/setup and some dumbbells.

Desk treadmill (get the cheaper one) if you like to walk. So easy and mindless to get a ton of miles in while turning dumb text comments or taking notes on a call

Good idea. It is extremely healthy to walk a lot.

On cardio: vertical climbers and rowing machines are both good options because they fold vertical, so the "passive" footprint is actually quite small and they use vertical space efficiently.

Regular (not desk) treadmills, and bikes (especially a Peloton) take up a lot of space in a small apartment. But climbers and rowers easily tuck into a corner and provide a decent full-body cardio workout when stuck at home.

If you’re going to get a rowing machine, might as well get a dual Row + SkiErg.

I recommend Bowflex adjustable dumbbell set - takes up very little space and has held up extremely well. I've had my set for probably 10 or 12 years now. They have a few different sets depending on how heavy you want, etc. Also have a stationary bike as well - a Schwinn - which I quite like. Those things combined generally work well and don't take up a ton of space (roughly that of a yoga mat).

Yeah, Doorway Pull up bar (IronGym has good one). Set of adjustable dumbbell - depends on how much you want to spend here, Bowflex ones are really nice but also the most expensive (I think they have one that goves to 62.5 lbs and one that 90 lbs). TRX as someone else mentioned is a good idea. You could honestly buy a bench as well if you have the closet space for storage.

If u can afford it- tonal is amazing. Great resistance workout, even for professionals. A pull-up bar is great, and get a few kettlebells.

In the former USSR, most gyms ONLY had kettlebells. Not shitting you. When my dad was trained for the military the only weights they had were kettlebells, because you don’t really need anything extra

It's called "Tonal" not "toned"
