Associate never does any work

Update: brought this shit up with VP, who stands on my side. VP doesn't want to shit on Asso since they are similar age (VP is a wealthy kid who climbed up the ranks through family deal sourcing). Told me next time just send Asso to VP so Asso does her things.

While my Associate is not post-MBA, somehow she only knows how to send out instructions and offend people. I know I'm lower on the ladder, but is it really necessary to ask me to do something while she knew I had 2 pitchbooks going in a week? She had absolutely 0 things to do herself.

Actually, all she does on a daily basis was browsing web or studying for the CPA exam. 4/5 weekdays she would have 0 stuff going on. Our VP doesn't have control over this situation because whatever she told Asso to do, Asso would pass along to me, 85% of time, even if she had zero, zero on her plate.

I mean, what the fuck.

Sorry for the vent. I had no idea why my MD said Asso is doing a good job. Kissing ass is that helpful huh?

just curious - what tier of firm is this? And what's her TC?

This sentence irks me.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee
