Not the biggest steak eater, but the Chateubriand at Keen's is probably the best I've had.
Nice

Really? I've never even thought to get a steak from there. Great food though.

Dry-aged bone-in rib eye at Bavette's Chicago
Definitely have had a few NY steaks that give it a run for its money (need to try more still) but the Bavette's dry-aged ribeye is peak steak for me.
Love Bavette's.
Oh man, Bavette's is awesome all around. The steak is great, but even just grabbing a burger at the bar is solid.
Correct
A ribeye at a nice Japanese restaurant in Louisiana. I kid you not. I know. Makes zero sense.
What was the name of the place?
I pretty rarely eat steak (no pun intended), but when I lived in the SF area I went to Espetus Churrascaria in downtown a lot and their Fraldinha is so good.
Mediocre cut - Hawksmoor NYC in Gramercy. I was so disappointed with the steak. Cocktails are amazing, appetizers are great but overpriced.
My dad was a master of the grill, and if you got him a good cut of steak, his steak rivaled, if not beat the steaks I've had at the few steakhouses I've been to.
How did he cook them?
With a heat source
Agreed Hawksmoor was not good
Filet mignon at Mama's Fish House in Maui.
Mister A's in Downtown San Diego and the peppercorn filet mignon at Café Zach in Oxnard

Bistecca Fiorentina at La Giostra in Florence Italy
Ha! That's a damn good steak. Good call.
Two places come to mind:
Buen Ayre - Argentinian steak place in East London. I'm sure steak in Argentina probably better but this was the best steak I've had in London
Bistecca Fiorentina (Chianina) at Trattoria Dall'Oste in Florence, Italy
Taste of Texas in Houston
I liked it but wouldn't put it at the elite level
The Outback Steakhouse in South Des Moines Iowa
Iowa Beef Steakhouse in Des Moines or bust.
I once had kobe ribeye at Cote. Pretty awesome cut of steak, but you can really only have a few bite size pieces due to price.
Order the porterhouse at Carne Mare pier 17 in nyc
The Cut by Wolfgang Puck. Many locations
My pick would have been the ribeye / Chateau at Berns in Tampa. But I just got the NY strip from Hillstone the other week and I shit you not it was the best steak I've ever had. Totally random
The steak was good but I really hated that place, it was peak over the top steakhouse and gaudy in all the worst ways for me. The lobster mac and cheese was pretty good too.

Kobe strip in Tokyo was sublime
In the USA, best steak I've had was the 45-day dry-aged ribeye at Meat on Ocean in Santa Monica
Steak Umzzz
My dorm room at 3am
I made some sous-vides porter house steaks for a dinner date. All i had to do was sear and plate after they were finished. That was the beast steak I can remember to date
Someone is saltier than a perfectly salt crusted steak .
My grandpas steak in Buenos Aires
Tomahawk at Dorsia after getting the reservation
I had a wonderful steak at the top of the Panorama restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia 🇭🇷
It was perfectly cooked, view was amazing and there was a firework display on a yacht.
Highly recommend. Great memory/ date spot if you have someone.
A place in London. Steak& Co. Had a fillet. It comes blue and you have a hot stone. You add butter and salt and finish cooking the steak to your 'done' preference. Great restaurant, service, staff and food.
Highly recommend. Might be a good date spot especially in the evening.
Went camping a couple weekends ago and someone had ribeyes on a portable flat top that were amazing. We forgot to get knives but fuck it, it was great. Another guy smoked a brisket that night too which was really amazing the next day.

Sounds good

idk if this is one of those pre-midlife crisis things as dudes are around 30 years old, but I want to learn how to smoke meats. I've always wanted to quit finance and do something with that, I have an idea that I think would be interesting but fuck if it isn't really risky and a lot of hard work.

Ribeye (could have been a tomahawk iirc) at The Grill in Beverly Hills. Amazing steak, superb wines, and great atmosphere
Hawksmoor NYC, 22oz porterhouse medium rare with a side of bone marrow
