Let's Go Brandon is the culmination of the Party of Faith and Family Values(TM) winking at a thinly-veiled "Fuck the Current President" chant because they have been lied to by their political leaders that the previous election was stolen. The zombie GOP has no ideas or interest in furthering ideas to help the populace navigate the challenges of the 21st century - the only party goal is to lick the boots of Trump and own the libs.
The country doesn't even agree on what the challenges are. You can't get half of the population to even agree that climate change is real, or that Covid is real, or that healthcare and education costs are too high, or a myriad of other challenges.
Right... because one particular half of the country doesn't believe in science or logic or reason anymore. The GOP is a post-policy party. They have no ideas on solving current problems, they have no desire to have a position to solve issues facing the country. What they want is to hold on to minority rule in the face of an increasingly diverse electorate through electoral gerrymandering and dog whistle politics.
The GOP has had 12 years to figure out a policy, any policy, and all they could come up with was "whatever Obama did, we must undo." I mean, the closest thing we've seen to a genuine GOP policy proposal is "build the wall" which would on it's own qualify as the least impressive campaign platform plank in history
This is relative to the discipline you study and school you go to. One side advocates for forgiving student loans (and as a result letting the inefficiencies and worthless degrees continue) while the other advocates for picking the right discipline or going to trade school.
Thoughts on Youngkin? He definitely doesn't fall in the bow down to Trump bucket.
I think he has tried to walk the fine line of appealing to Trump's base without alienating educated/suburban/women voters that he'll need in a purple state. The last 48 hours have been pretty funny - The GOP governor doesn't want Trump, the undoubtable leader of the party, to come campaign on his behalf because he knows it will tank his election chances. Trump is toxic to over 50% of this country - I have no idea why the GOP have crowned him their messiah.
As a conservative person, it's hard to disagree with this. Total vacuum of leadership outside of Trump, who doesn't have any ideas / is incompetent / doesn't have a single ounce of any real leadership qualities.
I was out the moment the party threw McCain and Romney under the bus. Do not like what the party has become.

Sometimes the tendency of conservatives to be family-friendly backfires on them, well-meaning as it may be. Now is not the time for boomer humor.
Lots of talk about Trump Derangement Syndrome, not enough talk about how the right wing of this country has become so radicalized that they now openly chant "Fuck Joe Biden" at the most milquetoast, centrist, forgettable Democratic president in modern history. You become the boy who cried wolf when you mock "Grandpa Joe" for living in his basement, while simultaneously casting him as a satanic evil destroying the country. Which is it? (hint - it's neither).
Liberals never once chanted "Fuck Donald Trump", nope never. They spent his entire presidency graciously accepting his defeat like dignified opposition.
Joe Biden is centrist? On which issues, specifically, is Joe Biden centrist? Does Joe Biden side with the Republicans on some issues, the Dems on some issues, and on the ones he sides with the Dems he asks for compromise? When he disagrees with Republicans, he keeps it about the issues and doesn't personally attack them?
