can we allow anons to post in [off-topic] ?
I understand what prompted this to occur in the first place, but I feel a sufficient amount of time has passed now.
Can we renable anonymous users to post comments to engage in off-topic discussions? I don't want to have to create a burner account to do so ...
Can someone explain to me why there needs to be a feature to anonymize already anonymous forum accounts? It's not like any of this is linked to work emails, socials or LinkedIn. What's the deal?
Username contains post history which may be used to doxx the person's identity
Don't give out personal information. If you want to give out personal information, send a private message.
School + bank can already doxx a whole bunch of people
I agree completely. If you do not give out any personally identifiable information, you should be okay.
I went to post anon in the industry forums yesterday, and couldn’t, because snowflakes get their feefees hurt and throw MS Messing up the required ratio. So fuck it I won’t be posting there anymore, not until I make a different throwaway account at least
Thoughts and prayers for you during this trying time
Lol
