can we allow anons to post in [off-topic] ?

I understand what prompted this to occur in the first place, but I feel a sufficient amount of time has passed now.

Can we renable anonymous users to post comments to engage in off-topic discussions? I don't want to have to create a burner account to do so ...

Can someone explain to me why there needs to be a feature to anonymize already anonymous forum accounts? It's not like any of this is linked to work emails, socials or LinkedIn. What's the deal?

I agree completely.  If you do not give out any personally identifiable information, you should be okay.

I went to post anon in the industry forums yesterday, and couldn’t, because snowflakes get their feefees hurt and throw MS Messing up the required ratio. So fuck it I won’t be posting there anymore, not until I make a different throwaway account at least
