Cheat codes for budgeting in NYC

Ran through my numbers and investment goals, and concluded that I'd ideally like to survive with under $1000/month in NYC (the amount came after subtracting rent, 25% savings rate, 401k, money for equities, etc.). Is this reasonable in 2022?It'll be my first time living in NYC and am frankly unsure how expensive are the bills for groceries and other misc expenses like supplements etc..Would appreciate any insight on pricing and lifestyle expectations with the aforementioned amt

What really crushes the budget is going out to bars and clubs, but I would recommend these experiences as required and also it’s the cost of essentially building your network.

Also, NYC has the best food ever. Enjoy yourself. Sunday Brunch is big socially as well.
