Chicago Hotel Recommendation
Gents and the deranged of the off-topic forum, looking for some suggestions for a solid hotel in Chicago. Will be visiting over summer for a concert. Not very familiar with the city so open to suggestions.

Where's the concert at? In general, you want to be near public transportation but even that is dependent on where the venue is located. I'd avoid the loop regardless.
Wrigley for Dead and Co.
find something South of Wrigley in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, or Oldtown. Ideally, you'd want to be by either the brown or red lines.
Like above said, avoid the loop if possible.
Waldorf Astoria is very nice, not too far from a redline stop.
redline is direct to south side
And the loop, Lincoln park, lake view, etc.
Anywhere in O block is pretty nice in the summer
the Google maps reviews of that place are hilarious: https://goo.gl/maps/EKG3Q8WARXMm9JCY8
Not sure why I got monkey shit, the reviews speak for themselves!
I'm partial to the Palmer House Hilton for a relatively affordable but upscale option. The rooms are somewhat plain and a little on the dated side, but it's a gorgeous classic hotel with a perfectly central location near multiple CTA stops, the Metra if you need it, across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park, etc. Pretty easy access to most of the city
Trump International Hotel
The Drake is cool, right off lake shore drive
Thompson Hotel. Nice hotel in Gold Coast
