Present. raises hand

Doing SaaS sales development and 80% of my work is prospecting / cold calling / cold emailing, and I'm the crazy bastard that loves it. The other 20% is ping pong (srs).

Its hard to find people who last more than 8 weeks because its so socially abnormal. You're literally interrupting someone to persuade them to buy your shit. The best believe that they know the client so well and that their product is actually able to help, that they can take the rejection because its the client's fault for not realizing or allowing for a quick ROI calculation.

Love cold calling; its such a psychological game.

I need to figure out how to find more guys like you. DM me if you can. I want to know when and where you found out you love the psychological game of selling. Also where you learned the sales skills. I only know about Dale Carnegie which still isn't kicking out the results.

and loving it? what kind of networking goals do you have? Is there a cold call sales crew running around in Vegas or something?

In general (not finance industry specific), some people have networking goals such as get/send the business cards of 10 people in the Florida area who have high net worth connections. More recently its about social media connections (1,000 connections in LinkedIn or 1,000 followers here).

Cold called non stop for 6 months. Hated it so much I almost left the industry as a result. I'm a pretty social person too - fraternity vp, tons of leadership experience, student government president, etc. - but good lord there is nothing worse than pushing shit on people.
