Its not over until you say its over. Either shoot for tangential stuff like Big 4 TAS or Corporate banking or consider small regional boutques. I think other front office roles like Equity Research, S&T, and Asset Management are still open at some banks. Also Credit Agricole just opened their apps if thats something you're interested in, Goodluck.
I've seen a decent number of people go from Big 4 Audit/Advisory to IB. I'd keep networking with IB at a minimum.
I sent hundreds of apps and didn't get a summer role. Continued networking, applying, and studying my technicals feverishly until I graduated, where I got offers from 3 boutique/MM firms. I'd suggest you focus on smaller firms and focus on networking (incl. with professors, parents friends/friends parents, etc. anyone you are in proximity to)
