Effect of Trump on IB

Trump has been the most banking friendly president ever. Actually, Trump is the BEST President ever!

Ever since he became president, I've had huge deals and big bonuses compared to the former president. Obama should take notes.

Wrong. Cuomo is the killer. Cuomo didn't even disinfect the subway system until last month and put the initial covid patients in retirement homes, causing thousands of deaths.

Trump left the decisions up to the states, as he should have. The federal government should not be dictating what goes on rural Georgia, the state should.

Trump also stopped travel to China, where Joe was calling him racist.

The stock market is not doing that bad. It tanked in the beginning, but has been stable ever since.

And the US never put in any screening system for travelers until March... Korea did it on January.

US didn't prepare for strategic reserve of medical equipment until March... Korea did it on January.

Trump kept pulling false BS out of his ass about COVID without consulting or flat out ignoring medical professionals... Korean President shut the fucked up, listened, and let the medical professionals do their jobs (and so did many sensible world leaders).

Trump refuses to wear masks in public. The Korean President (and the rest of the world) wore masks in public to encourage people to wear it.

The US had to shutdown for months because it responded late thanks to the cavalier reaction of Trump. Korea responded right away and never had to shutdown its economy.

Korea and the US had both their 1st confirmed cases on the same day. Look at what happened. Biatch

Preventive medicine is a federal responsibility. Why do you think the CDC exists?

Wow. Please don't go into buy-side. Everybody knows this is an unusual behavior that might not last.

America is pretty fucked right now - massive civil unrest bordering on revolt, unemployment is the highest we’ve seen in 100 years, and we’ve enabled / antagonized our strongest enemy since the Cold War. None of these things existed in 2016 when trump took office. You can give as many explanations / excuses you like, but it’s a fact that the country has quickly crumbled under his watch. Either he fucked up, or was too weak to use his position as the most powerful man on earth to prevent it... not sure which ones is worse. Even more scary is how the federal government doesn’t seem equipped at all to lead the recovery on any front - economic, social, or geopolitical.
