Entrepreneurship Senior Year

I've already been partying, plan to travel, etc. before I sell my soul.But... I also want to explore a different part of myself. I want to start something of my own. Whether it's a business, non-profit, podcast, youtube channel, etc. I want to start something and make it my own while I still have the time

I don’t think you have the free time to pursue significant entrepreneurship opportunities unless you already have something in mind.

I was pretty booked senior year, taking 23hrs fall semester and 21hrs spring semester and just went to South America for 2 weeks over winter break to practice my Spanish in Argentina and Uruguay.

I've sort of been thinking of it as building the foundation of something that I could potentially pick back up after my IB stint - not necessarily something that I expect to rapidly grow or even fully develop with the remainder of this year.

Also plan on traveling to europe post-graduation. Have a sick spring break trip to Cabo booked with the boys also.

What else did you do on your travels to South America? Sounds like a good time.

Yeah that trip was crazy. I booked a ticket to Buenos Aires and was dead tired and delirious after taking 23hrs and finishing the semester. I didn’t make any travel arrangements or anything and decided to wing the whole trip. I met this dude Pepe at the airport and he referred me to stay in this hostel and I got on the bus all the locals take and arrived at this fun party hostel. I had good steaks in the city (high quality and cheap - bife de chorizo cuts), and was introduced to drinking maté and overall really liked Buenos Aires.

The day I got to the city, I checked my grades online and saw I made a 4.0 and was super stoked and just wanted to go to the beach, so went to Mar del Plata and passed out for like 6hrs exhausted in the sun. I got like 2nd degree burns and then I headed back to Buenos Aires.

Then one night when I was back in Buenos Aires I went to club Pacha and partied with this American girl and we had a bottle of champagne and she said she was going to Uruguay immediately after the club and that I should go. So we went to Uruguay - to Punta del Este. It was a good time and we went clubbing every night, but I had a flight to Miami on Jan 1 at like 6am, so pregamed with her on the 31st and took a bus back to Buenos Aires, then went to the club to celebrate New Years and then proceeded immediately to the airport from the club. I almost missed my flight because all the cabs were taken.

Then I got to Miami and met up with some friends for a cruise and a scuba diving trip in Grand Cayman and Jamaica. I had my roommate from college being my scuba gear with him and everything worked out. It was a pretty epic trip. I also brought back some really good red wine from Argentina.

Probably $1200 on flights, $800 on the cruise and my hostel in Buenos Aires was super cheap - only $10/night. Food was cheap too so maybe just $10-$20 per day for food. Beer was cheap. Then drinks at the club - maybe $50 per night.

I think clubbing in Uruguay was more expensive than Buenos Aires - but it was a while ago - I could have spent $100 some nights.
