Excel Models for Rosenbaum & Pearl's Investment Banking 1st Edition Text Book?
Hi there, does anyone know where I could obtain the excel templates (blank and completed) which accompanied the 'Investment Banking - Valuation, Leveraged Buyouts and Mergers & Acquisitions' textbook by Rosenbaum & Pearl (1st edition)? It is no longer available from the Wiley website. Thanks in advance.
I was literally in the same boat a few months ago. Instead of searching for the templates, I decided to recreate the templates on my own to help improve my excel skills which were absolutely brutal at the time. My advice would be to recreate the excel templates from each chapter, select a company that is relevant towards the group you are looking to interview with, and apply each valuation/scenario to this company. This in turn will help you polish your excel skills, prepare you to discuss relevant competitors/news in their industry (stemming from CCA), while also allowing you to get some sort of modeling experience. Hope this helps.
Thanks @bromilian, sounds like a smart way to go about about it. I've got an LBO case study coming up for Financial Sponsors Group IBD next week so I plan to jump straight to chapter 5 in the book. I was hoping to save time by getting the model templates, but building from scratch might actually be a more beneficial exercise. Cheers.
Hi, if you happen to find those models, could you please email them to me?

Am I missing something or does Rosenbaum not have a PGM calculation in his example DCF model. Is it typical not to have this calculation in your DCF model?
Hello fellow Monkeys! As with many of us, I am using the Rosenbaum text to expand my knowledge. I thought it would be a good idea to create a group for this where we can exchange information.

Does anyone have the first or second edition models? I'm imagining there won't be that big of a difference between the two?

Would appreciate the 2nd edition models as well, please! Trying to sharpen the skills before starting.
I too would like to add to the litany of summons for 2nd edition models. I would have actually bought the more expensive option, but doing so after buying the normal book seems excessive.
I'd be immensely grateful if anybody could pm me them!

Hi!
Just bought a used copy of Investment Banking by Rosenbaum & Pearl. However the excel spreadsheet's aren't available on wiley anymore for 1st edition.
I want to use it to build a base model for valuation, and as I get better add more layers and simulation tools to the model.
Would anyone be so kind as to send me the files?
Hey there, I'm also interested in these spreadsheets as well, were you able to get them by any chance?
Do a search, there's a lot of models uploaded to Scribd
could anyone email me the models?

Hi, I'm in the same boat. I have an upcoming interview and took this book to learn more about modeling. I had bought the book like two years ago, and left it in my bookshelf, I had no idea there were online models. I went online yesterday and there are not there. Can anybody pass me the files?
