Exchange program or improve GPA?

I have 2 choices:

  • Go for an exchange program at National University of Singapore (top #15 uni according to QS). Pass or fail grades; doesn't affect GPA. I've been to Singapore a couple of times so it's not for fun or anything, purely to help my resume.

OR

  • Stay back and finish the remaining credits. Redo some courses in the freshman year where I got a C in. I could choose "easy" electives to get As and potentially improve my GPA from 3.57 to 3.68...

Which will have a bigger impact on my resume? I don't go to a top 30 school so anything would help.

Take the trip. No-brainer. Your experience as a person is much more important than adding a tenth to your GPA.

in it 2 win it

Do the exchange. The experience alone makes it worth it, plus it makes you more interesting as a person & gives you something to talk about during interviews. You can improve your GPA later on.

To infinity... and beyond!

Do exchange to other uni which actually has gpa and boost gpa there. Anyway you've already been to singapore, I don't see the point of masturbating on the ranking of your exchange uni. If you want Asia take smth like HKUST/PKU/Tsinghua etc. still reputable name, can boost the gpa of yours and you will have a chance of actually having FUN in a new for you enviroment. But sounds like you are asian, then I would take exchange to europe (LSE/HEC/Bocconi), coming back to asia to make exchange looks not that smart(more like homesick option).
