FANG Interview Help; Bring a report on them?

Going through the interview process for senior analyst at a FANG company. Went to a local school. Fudged my way into a corp fi role at a fortune 500 with a couple boutique IB internships but really want to make this transition as its a rare opportunity with my background.

I was thinking of writing up an industry analysis and providing new product research to them at my in-person interview to show my interest.

Is that overkill and trying too hard for something they may not even look at?

I would try to connect with someone at the FAANG firm you’re interviewing at and ask what the interview consists of the get a feel for it. They should have an internal recruiter you’re speaking to- use them.

Internal recruiters at tech companies are actually pretty good and useful.

Also what tech firm is doing in person interviews? I know for a fact several of these firms are remote until 2021...
