Aston Martin Vantage is super sweet, can get in automatic or manual. Not a crazy exterior but drives super nice and purrs like crazy. Obviously take it with a v12 as well.

Maybe it's cause James Bond drives one, but for some reason I think of Aston's as having more class (more subdued than a Lambo or Ferrari) while still being really fun. I parked cars during summers early in college and was able to drive several, what a treat.

So if I decided to go the used route I could probably get two solid cars for under $125k each, happy to redo paint jobs if needed. I know a Porche would make for a better daily driver than the McLaren, and I will say the green one that page opens with is pretty sick. Thanks for sharing.

I mean even if he timed it perfectly but only invested $10k into shares then that’s not nearly enough to celebrate with with a mclaren. If he bought $20k of weekly options yesterday with $50 strike, that’s a different story. Just depends what and when he bought

I was eyeing some gorgeous Lotus's. That roadster would be a killer but I imagine there's 0 chance of getting on the list for one of the Founder models.
Yeah I've read lots of articles from car testers that the Lotus Evora is one of the most fun cars to drive out there. Its not the fastest off the line, but you're going to have fun on the curves and off ramps. This is the most fun driving for me anyway - likelihood of cop pulling you over on an offramp is much lower than on the flat straightaway.
Its unique also - not a lot of people have one. And that V6 Toyota engine will last forever.

Would highly suggest an R8. Just picked one up in August as my daily driver in the North East. Classy, fast, extremely comfortable and very well built (not to mention reliable - good luck finding that in a UK-built supercar like a McLaren or an Aston). The AWD quattro system allows you to drive year-round as well. Took mine up to Maine for some skiing and was caught in a blizzard - snow tires and the AWD handled it without a problem. Put 10k miles on mine since August and zero mechanical issues.
I keep thinking about what's next. But honestly, I can't find a car that hits the daily drivability / reliability / supercar status like an R8 does (without being too ostentatious). IMO the best daily driver supercar there is.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, 2020 is the last year of the R8s. Audi is going to electric vehicles next. No more naturally aspirated V10s. So if you can get your hands on one, it might actually go up in value (as the first-gen (2010-2015) V10 manuals have - they're selling for ~$135k right now. A year ago you could've picked one up for $90k)
Double EDIT: I want to emphasize the point on comfort. If you think you'll be driving for more than 30 minutes at a time in a supercar, I would implore you to (at a minimum, test drive) take comfort seriously, which the R8 does very well in its class. The Huracan, 458, 570s, and almost ever other "supercar" in that class will make your legs sore and your butt hurt after 30-45 mins. Take it from me - it sucks stopping every 45 mins for a rest stop because you can't feel your legs, or your ass is so numb you can't feel it either. It just gets so uncomfortable and honestly makes the ride suck. Why pay $200k for a car which makes you wish you arrived at the destination, rather than enjoying the ride to it? It really takes away from the experience, so again, +1 for the R8 which IMO puts the others to shame in that category.

Great point on comfort - myself I own a Porsche 911 right now, but I've test-driven a Ferrari and Lamborghini (not to buy, as part of a race track day). Ferraris and Lambos are beautiful but they are pretty uncomfortable to sit in - and somewhat awkward to drive. Don't get me wrong - on an open road or racetrack, it is a glorious machine to be in. But I can't imagine having them as a practical daily driver - sitting in slow-moving traffic would not be a fun experience.
I know a Porsche probably wouldn't fall into the supercar category, but for me it ticks all the boxes - accelerates and handles like a beast, looks good, but also has a luxurious and comfortable interior. I've gone on 3 hour drives in my Porsche and enjoyed every minute of it - I don't think I would be saying the same if I had a Ferrari or Lambo.
