Favorite Non-Conventional Indicator

Doing a project on Indices or not commonly used indicators that are correlated with markets or forward-looking indicators of markets. (ie Ballpark indicator, Big Mac Index, Lipstick Indicator).

What are your favorite or just the most interesting indicators/index you've heard of?

None of these indicators is ever really correct in a way that can be used for prediction. If they were actually useful, there would be a lot of very rich people made from them. You can construct a bull or bear argument on any given day in history if you cherry pick data, even unintentionally. These indicators are complete wastes of time, tbh. Even the inverted yield curve--the gold standard of economic indicators--proved this time around to be a worthless indicator as the U.S. economy continued apace until Covid.
