Food is too cheap. Way too cheap. Let's solve obesity by tripling prices.

Every time I go grocery shopping, it blows my mind how inexpensive food generally is. It's like, how is a rotisserie chicken only $7, all inclusive of labour to prep/cook it. Seriously?

So 98,000 chickens are slaughtered every minute globally nonstop. 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. That's 1600 every SECOND, continuously. Difficult to even fathom. Great if you're a Tyson shareholder (NYSE:TSN), and great if you're poor, but is it beneficial long term?

Agriculture leads to gluttony and a temporary satisfaction (I'm full!), but at what long term cost? The world is overpopulated with people we don't necessarily like. Disease is borne from living in close proximity to others. Diabetes is skyrocketing thanks to overconsumption.

Diabetes was virtually non-existent in the UAE 2 decades ago. Today, it's one of the most diabetic nations per capita in the world.

--

With other divisive social topics (gun control, terrorism, etc), we focus almost exclusively on the cause, and rarely on treatment. Why does no one talk about revolutionary blood coagulators that, when combined with a fat syringe-like mechanism, can double survival rates for gunshot victims? It's never on the news. You get the idea.

Yet with obesity/diabetes/disease, it's somehow always about "cures". I have a lot of friends in big pharma, and I always joke that "Kraft [bacon, etc] and Amazon [promoting absolute laziness] is your #1 ally."

WHY DO WE NEVER PROMOTE EATING LESS? Starvation is proven to slow the metabolism, and thus the multiplication of cancerous cells. Multiple scientific studies show that monkeys who are maintained as constantly hungry live longer, healthier lives than their satiated monkey counterparts. Why do you think old Japanese women look like desiccated plums and live to 120?? (they starve!)

As free market capitalists, government regulations on caloric intake would be blasphemy. The only way to achieve a healthier, less crowded world is to drastically raise the price of food. Would also be nice to pay lower healthcare premiums, and have less fat people walking around. In the year 2750, maybe people will reflect on agriculture as the biggest (failed) experiment in human evolution.

Vegan Molester:
If EVERYONE ON THE PLANET followed a VEGAN DIET, there would be no HUNGER, DISEASE, or WAR.

Amen, amen, brother.

Yes this was published in Volume II, page 257 of the historic contribution to the future of vegan society:

"Mein Kale"

Mein Kale details the uprising of the future race driven by pure plant fuel. It will be amazing!

Also, guys for those coming to the next meeting, we will meet in room 202 this week. Its Tofu Taco Tuesday again this week and Bean Fart Fridays! Get ready! We will be offering kale popsicles at this week's meeting. They don't have flavor but its a superfood!!!

Also, Sunday night will be the special slideshow per special request. We will depict what ancient man used to do on the grill and with steak and lobster pictures. Tissues will be available at every table for any vegan sobbers missing a nice, fat, juicy grilled steak.

Please people, don't mention the "B" word in meetings again. We had a member crack again last week when someone thought it smelled like ... the "B" word .... the Vegan Kryptonite .... Bacon.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I'm convinced you're not very bright.

This isn't how any of this works...you have no understanding whatsoever of economics or human action...you lambast gov't restrictions on caloric intake and then suggest it's better to increase food prices by 3x? This has to be a troll right? You can't be this stupid.

"When you stop striving for perfection, you might as well be dead."
