Fair you mean ER or asset management. Tbh those guys always seemed bookish so it might come naturally for them.
I understand the lack of incorporation of the information you need to memorize. The only grace I give the SIE is that it allows people who need to show they are able and willing to take an exam; they don't need sponsorship either, so it can help new grads or people in the job market. I have to say the 6 and 7 are pretty useless as well. Some of the 60s have some relevant material.
