Guys with side part hair - do you reapply hair product throughout the day?
I have long hair, 6-8 inches like Patrick Bateman. I reapply pomade every 3 hours. Wondering if others do the same.
I use Murray's Pomade. Hbu?
I have longer hair - it’s not pristine at 5pm like it is at 10am, but it’s good enough. I’ll run my fingers through my hair throughout the day to readjust, but I’ve found the key is to completely dry your hair in the morning and get it perfectly styled. It takes me around 10 minutes every morning which adds up, but I’ve found it’s critical to be well-dressed and look put together.
Doesn’t the use of product daily cause damage to your hair?
In my case yes - my hairdresser always asks if I swim a lot but that’s from the pomade/clay. I have really nice hair tho so it’s not an issue
I use heavy hold pomade but only once per day. If the hair gets messed up, I will just fix it with my fingers. On a related note, last night, my mother in law complained about my hair by saying it is too high, haha. It is actually an illusion because the sides are cut extremely short
What pomade do you use? I blow dry my hair then run American Crew Fiber throughout to just give it a bit of body, but it absolutely does not keep it in any shape. Then I’ll run American Crew Forming Cream throughout to get it flowing the direction I want. Blow dry some more, then run Hanz de Fuko Claymation through it for more body. Finish it off with American Crew Pomade to get the final hold and shine.
I would love a matte look, and I can achieve it with Hanz de Fuko quicksand if I haven’t washed my hair or any product out with shampoo after a few days. The problem is it doesn’t lock down and my hair will fray out as the day progresses
American Crew. I put it on my hair when it is wet and then blow dry it for like 5 minutes or so. I was using medium hold for a wet look but it does not hold the hair together as well as the heavy hold. I am sure everyone is going to have different results, though.
No - blow dry in the morning, product (matte wax thing) and hair spray. The hair spray is what does the trick.
Did not know people still use hair spray.
What hair spray do you use? I haven’t found one that doesn’t smell like hairspray but I also did not look beyond like 2 bottles
