From what I understand, it used to only show new notifications (new as in since the last time you checked the notifications page), and now it shows all your unread notifications, as well as any unread messages.

I have lost the ability to select individual notifications/messages, and can only select the whole view or all of them (to mark them as read, delete, etc.). Would be great to be able to select individual notifications/messages, and also to select them as unread so that when you come back, they still show up with the new number icon vs disappearing and then forgetting I have an unread message.

Hi, Pierogi Equities

yes, you are right, the counter got an update recently.

How it was before:
- once there is a new message/notification - the counter is increased
- once the user clicks on the messages icon or visits the messages page - the counter is reset to 0

How it works now:
- counter shows an actual count of unread threads (messages and notifications)
- once the thread is read - the counter is reduced (not reset to 0)

As for the ability to mar individual threads as read - this feature is on the priority list.
We will keep you posted.
