Edmundo BravermanI don't know what they're up in arms about, I think this is a great idea. I guess it's more compassionate if you're a northeastern mayor and you buy the homeless one-way bus tickets to Tampa?
HAH! I never understood why the hell anyone would stay up here in the cold. Fuck that. If I lose it all, I'll do like a guy I grew up with: wander down to an island and peace out, at least I won't be freezing.

I hate to be a raincloud, but they're giving cutting edge technology to homeless people. A few may use it to become productive, but the ones who want out of their situation have already gone to shelters, most of the rest have serious mental and/or drug problems. I'm guessing that organized groups are going to target the homeless for 1. robbing or 2. buying the equipment cheaply for a turnaround sale (aka, a dime bag of smack for a system, sell it for a lot more). Whoever came up with this idea apparently has never worked at a soup kitchen or shelter, but more likely spent a decade reading about "the plight of the poor" in some ivory tower.

Who knows, hopefully this has a good outcome, but I'm pretty idealistic and even I can't forsee this working. It's almost like this isn't a real idea. Letting homeless people carry computers around? Really?

Get busy living

This is a great idea. Now imagine if the government did it - the right would flip shit.

Two sides of the same fucking coin. The American political system is so, so, so fucked.
