Hot girl in the office

I'm not trolling...

I work in a coverage team and she's in DCM. We've been smiling at each other for months and exchange small talks occasionally. I'm an Analyst, soon to be an Associate, and she's a senior VP.

We never really had any serious conversation though. I just think she is super hot and I want to rip her clothes off and just give it to...

People, how do you cope with that urge? I don't want to fall into any HR situation.

Try to see whether she’s engaged and if not ask her out for a drink.

Maybe invite her to a thing you talked about like you talked about an artist the other day and there is an exposition in town « hey I just saw there’s an exposition on XX and since we talked about that last time I was wondering whether you would you be down to go to it » something like that

If you ask kindly you have nothing to fear: either she says no and since you’re not working with her on a daily basis that’s fine and you can be very proud of you because you did what 99% of men fear to do (if she isn’t a weirdo/hardo otherwise she could refer to HR) or she said yes and you’re the boss

I’m just a first year 6 months in but I was in a similar situation last summer.

1 month into my SA stint I saw a 2nd year analyst who was insanely attractive. Ended up making small talk for a few weeks, then asked what her plans were after work on a Friday. We ended up getting slammed and working until 2am, but when she was leaving she asked if I’ve ever been to this bar and I went with her. We had a great time and danced/flirted that night.

Didn’t even sleep with her until 2 weeks before I left, but I’ve seen her about once a month since then. Be respectful and don’t be pushy, if she’s into you you’ll be able to tell by how she responds to you asking what she’s doing on a weekend or something.

I’d advise you to just try to get her to hang out with you outside of the office, even if it’s a platonic invitation, because then you’ll be able to really tell if she’s down for you or just being nice. Always assume she’s just being nice, worst case you made a very attractive friend. Picking up women outside of a bar is not difficult, it’s about allowing them the opportunity to friendzone you without them knowing they’ve friendzoned you (hence the worst case scenario—you aren’t in the wrong because you’re just trying to make new friends)
