How do you spend your Saturdays?

What does your typically Saturday look like? I’ll start as a 25 year old guy in NYC. I need to find some new hobbies lol

9:30-10:30am: Roll out of bed

10:30am-1pm: Respond to some emails / finish urgent work, do some random chores (tidy up, dishes, etc.)

1-2:30pm: Workout

2:30-8pm: Will either be working still, day drinking, smoke and video games w/ friends, or just walking around the city exploring & vibing

8pm-3am: Either cooking dinner and staying in or drinking and out with friends

Protected Saturdays - 80% of the time I don't have to work

8-11am - Wake up and chill, might go out and eat breakfast with the wife

11am-1pm - Clean up, do laundry, vacuum, etc... basically just catching up on everything that has been neglected during the week

1pm-5pm - meal prep for the week

5pm-6pm - gym

6pm-10pm - Downtime, play games with wife, go out with friends, etc

I generally try to catch up with every thing I put off during the week, try to get my workout in, run errands and try to detox myself.

SafariJoe, wins again!

Similar here. Usually get up between 10 and 12, depending on if I went out the night before. Check some emails, usually don't have to do much in the way of work. If I know I'm going out again that night I'll probably try to hit the gym late morning / early afternoon. Aside from that, I'll usually either sit around and play videogames / watch tv or go on an aimless drive for a few hours. Might sound kind of weird, but I have always been a car guy and bought myself a nice car last year that I don't actually use for any practical purposes.

Thinking about picking up golf this year. I also try to get away with friends one weekend a month. Obviously since we're all busy this blows up like half the time.

Funniest

In a perfect world where I have no plans or obligations, my saturdays are:

  • 6:00-7:00am - wake up, big breakfast (can't get up before 8am on the weekdays but can't sleep past 7 on the weekends)
  • 7:00-12:00pm - bike
  • 12:00-1:00pm - exec workout (stretching and heavy steam room session)
  • 1:00-1:05pm - spliff on the walk home from the gym
  • 1:05-1:30pm - fight off initial anxiety from spliff, tell myself I'll catch up on work tomorrow
  • 1:30-3:00pm - f1 video game
  • 3:00-3:01pm - initiate dinner planning process with wife
  • 3:01-6:00pm - insist she can pick, while also suggesting plenty of options with tepid responses.  (I'm also probably playing f1 still at this time and/or trying to smash)
  • 6:00-7:00pm - beers at the bar downstairs
  • 7:00-9:00pm - dinner in the neighborhood
  • 9:00-9:45pm - scroll every page of every streaming service finding a movie
  • 10pm - asleep in the first act
