I might be done with Allen Edmonds

I might be done with Allen Edmonds. They have let me down yet again.

  1. The last two sandals I’ve ordered from them have fallen apart. I think there’s good reason why they basically don’t have a sandal anymore - they just plain suck.
  2. I ordered some of their Park Ave sneakers. At order time it said they were in stock and shipping in 2 days. It took them 3 weeks to tell me that was wrong and they needed another three weeks.
  3. The reason that took so long is because their CS is crap right now. Any email you send them it will take 3 days for them to reply.
  4. When my Park Ave order was cancelled they sent me a bounce back coupon. Ok, we can try again. Ordered two pairs of the Higgin Mills boots and they arrived today. These look like they were butchered and the finished on them sucks, there’s a white residue all over them.

I only included pics of the black ones but the brown ones are the same low quality with the same gouges on the leather. And the black ones didn’t even come with the dust bags.

I’m going to NYC next week and will check out their store in person and maybe stock up if I can inspect each pair. But short of that I might just be done with AE

Why’d you buy anything other than Park Ave from Allen Edmonds. Flip flops - Reef works whether I’m 18 or 48. Loafers you can go get your little Italian or even go get Nordstrom brand whatever

as a side note - just reading your posts over last few months I just know if you walked around the street - we would know. The 30s guy who just showed up in NYC w a middle / back office job, trying too hard.

the restaurant thread is hilarious. All the good places are impossible to get in. NYC isn’t Meat Market in Tampa where everyone shows up to show their blings in a huge restaurant and there is always space. Good places are both expensive, small and potentially never open (I Sodi prime time on weekends).

You sure you're a VP? Please post the bank so we know where they move dummies up the ladder.

Pump the brakes there, son. You’re a coward that posts anonymously. How “reputable” can your place be if they hired you?
